From the Masthead
G’day Mates

As I was pacing, down and back, down and back again and again; (it was the first mowing of the year) I thought to myself ‘man this sure does beat sailing!’ trying to feel better about my predicament, I repeated it out loud, I soooo much would rather be mowing the lawn than sailing at Bear Lake any day………NOT! (exhaust fumes have that effect)

Memorial Weekend with the USA at Bear Lake is nearly here!
It’s been 9 months since we’ve been sailing those sweet turquoise waters; (yeah, it feels more like 18) we’re definitely long overdue!

I’m excited to get up to the Lake and Sail, Camp, Cookout, Build a Massive Bonfire, soak in the hotpot, Power Lounge, Cycle, use the Optiwedge showering implement, play on the beach, listen to the awesome quadraphonic sound of the Music Chair! (it’s possible the Dueling Banjos could return for a special engagement?) and most importantly, enjoy the company of good friends and family!

Our reservations at Willow #3 run Friday May 23rd at 3:00pm to Monday the 26th 2:00pm

If you would like to join us for the weekend, but are not yet a Member of the USA; the weekend family membership rate is $35, a single membership is $20. see Treasurer Beverly Reidel or the social chair (me) when you arrive.

COOKIN’:
Some of us will be doing some Dutch Oven Cooking Saturday evening, if you would like to join us bring your gear and show us your skills. (I’ll be doing the only dish I know how, PIZZA!) If you don’t have a Dutch Oven and want to cook let me know a few days in advance and we’ll arrange to bring an extra one for you to use. (This is a BYOFood deal)

see the new website, it’s sweet! thank you to Coty Creighton and Shaun Mendenhall for all their hard work!
