Swift Solos

If you missed summer games then you missed out big time!!! it was a blast! I have never seen a race with such tight competition, we really had a fun time.  What a turn out, there were so many new boats with colorful sails filling the lake.  A great time was had by all.

Saturday was basically a drift fest with only a little wind toward the end.  After the race we fired up the grill and chowed down.  Sunday was a different story.  At first it looked like a repeat of Sat, but then the thermal kicked and it was on!!!  We raced three good races.  The last one was a honkin 2 lapper which pretty much wore everyone out. I must say the swift solos look just as good upside down as the do right side up.  We had a finish that was so close that three cats and a laser finished 1 second and about a foot apart!  We had a power boater get angry when we were trying to get our boats out of the water, he cut in front of my boat while I was trying to beach.  He was tried of looking out for sailboats, HA! I want to see so many sailboats at the summer games next year that the powerboats won’t even put in.

We have the 4th of July Gum Ball Rally next, lets hope we have a good turn out. see you soon,

Randy

Thanks for the photo’s and thanks for a fun event. All of the Swifties that I talked to would love to do it again next year.

A special thanks to all of the volunteers. Without you, there is nothing.

Good sailing and keep the stick in the air!
