We are proud to announce that the 2008 Utah Summer Games Regatta will be hosted by the Utah Sailing Association. We had a great turn out at last year’s event and hope to do so again this summer. All levels of sailors are welcome, you are sure to learn something new!
When:
June 21st & 22nd, 2008.
Where:
Sailboat Beach at the Deer Creek State Park. (map)
Schedule:
Saturday:
9am – Registration (Notice: Registration ends at 9:55am!)
10am – Skippers Meeting
3-5 Races Through out Saturday
Post Race BBQ Party – $8 per person, Please RSVP.
Sunday:
2-3 Races followed by an awards ceremony.
Details:
- $20 single handed boats*
- $30 double handed boats*
- Windsurfer class will be on Alpha course set perpendicular to Sailboat Beach at the South end of the lake.
- Catamaran & Dinghy classes will be on the Bravo course adjacent to Rainbow Bay in the central area of the lake. It will be a arranged in a triangular configuration.
Camping:
For those wanting to camp over with us Friday the 20th and Saturday the 21st, you’ll want to call for a camp reservation at the Great Horned Owl Campground or the Chokecherry Campground before they sell out. Both are adjacent to each other and Chokecherry has 6 of the better tent sites. You can the Utah State Park Reservations line at 800-322-3770 or their SLC number at 322-3770, Monday – Friday 8-5.
If you could let me know how many entrants you will have and what t-shirt sizes you need by May16 I’ll set them aside for you.
